Synopsis
Flapping in the Middle of Nowhere is the story about a teenage girl who has to grow up fast when she finds out that she is pregnant by her ne’er-do-well boyfriend. The feeling of the juvenile naivety and disorientation when making the difficult decision for or against an unborn life lies at the core of the film. Huyen finds herself forced to fall into prostitution in order to save money for an abortion. Ironically, the only customer who is willing to pay is a man who is obsessed with pregnant women. The situation becomes even more complicated because this man makes Huyen so happy that she almost forgets that there is a baby growing inside of her.
