Synopsis:
Being a socially successfully man in Weimar but creatively utterly miserable, one morning in September 1786 Goethe decides to leave for Italy to reinvent himself. As a changed man, he will return to Weimar in 1788 with many adventures to tell, with a wider horizon of what life's richness means and with inspiration for the coming and most productive years of the most famous German literate.
